Synergy family, our doors are open and we’re excited to safely come together again. In accordance with state and local guidelines, Synergy Health Club Petaluma and Synergy Health Club Napa are now open with limited capacity, modified hours and reservation-based workouts only. During this first phase of reopening and beyond, we’re committed to keeping you informed and will continually update this list with Frequently Asked Questions and answers. Please check back for the latest information.

Q: Is the club open?

A: Yes, we are open and are excited to welcome members back. Reservations are required to allow for social distancing while using the club. 

Q: What are the club’s hours?

A: Clubs will be open with modified operating hours. 

Synergy Health Club Napa: Monday–Friday 6am–8pm, Saturday 9am–1pm, Sunday Closed

Synergy Health Club Petaluma: Monday–Friday 5:30am–7:30pm, Saturday 8am–12p, Sunday Closed

Q: Are there special seniors only hours?

A: All workouts are reservation-based to limit the number of people in the club at any given time and ensure safe social distancing. There are not designated hours for seniors only, but those concerned may want to schedule workouts between the weekday hours of 9am-11am or 1pm-3pm, when the club tends to be less busy.

Q: How do I know it’s safe to come back?

A: State and County public health officials, along with our industry partners at Active Wellness and Providence St. Joseph Health, have approved that we are safe to reopen our doors under the new safety protocols. Exercise can be part of the solution to this pandemic, as activity reduces stress hormones and boosts healthy immunity and feel-good endorphins. However and wherever you’re ready to stay active, we’re here to help you take good care. 

Only you can decide when you’re ready to resume your workouts at the club. We’ll continue offering our online suite of virtual workout and at-home support tools to those more comfortable staying home.

Q: Which services & amenities are open?

A: We are reopening the club in phases in accordance with our local health officials. The following services & amenities are now open with limited capacity to allow for social distancing:

  • Fitness Floors: cardio & weight rooms
  • Locker Rooms: restrooms & sinks only
  • Outdoor pools for exercise with a reservation

Q: Which services & amenities are closed?

A: The following services & amenities remain closed until further notice:

  • Towel service
  • Showers, Saunas & Steam Rooms
  • Indoor Pools
  • Childcare
  • Group Fitness Classes


Q: What is the club doing to keep members safe?

A: Today, more than ever before, your health and wellness remain our top priority. That’s why we’re partnering with the experts and industry leaders at Active Wellness and Providence St. Joseph Health Systems, to implement the highest levels of cleanliness and ensure safe social distancing. Below is our plan to keep you and our employees safe and healthy. This is just the start and we will continue to update and implement new procedures and protocols as we learn more about local and national guidelines. 

Cleaning Protocols – We are taking a comprehensive approach to ensure proper cleaning, disinfection, and sanitation protocols are in place in accordance with government, CDC, and WHO guidelines. We are also adding additional procedures to our continued stringent level of cleanliness.

Exercising Social Distancing – We are carefully planning and implementing a safer way for us to be together. There will be markers and directional signage on the floors and walls to remind us to exercise safe social distancing practices.

Sanitation Stations – Along with implementing comprehensive cleaning protocols, we are increasing the number of sanitation stations throughout the club. These are conveniently located, easy to use and readily available with equipment disinfectant sprays, wipes, and hand sanitizers.

Equipment Spacing – For your safety, we have limited the amount of equipment on our cardio and weight floors to exercise safe social distancing practices while you workout.

Reduced Class Sizes – Group fitness class sizes will be reduced to allow for safe social distancing. Additionally, all classes will require reservations. Deep cleaning protocols will be put into place for throughout cleaning between classes. 

Increased Cleaning – We have increased our daily scheduled cleaning times along with continuous disinfection of high-touch surfaces throughout the club. We’ve also adjusted our club hours of operation to allow for additional deep cleaning.

Q: What is the club doing to keep employees safe?

A: Team members have been trained on appropriate cleaning procedures and protocols. All staff members have been equipped with disinfectant and sanitation products. Facial masks will be worn and temperature checks will be recorded for each staff member prior to their shift in accordance with government regulations.
